1,637,874 hectares of Amazon rainforest are conserved by our REDD+ projects.

In addition to the conserved area, our REDD+ projects also impact the communities and surrounding areas with improvements and alert generation in case of deforestation. Therefore, our numbers are as follows: 5,085,474 hectares of monitored area, 3,824,000 hectares under registration and 1,637,874 hectares of forest area conserved by our REDD+ projects.

Itaúba

The Itaúba REDD+ project aims to protect forests located in one of the regions with the highest trend of deforestation in the Amazon biome, in the municipalities of Itaúba and Marcelândia, in Mato Grosso.

Both municipalities are geographically located in the "Arc of Deforestation" and neighbors other highly deforested municipalities.

Projects under development

We have another 5 projects in the states of Acre, Amazonas, Pará, and Mato Grosso in the development phase. This means that we are already protecting the areas, but are still waiting for proof from the competent bodies. The total area of protection in these new projects is 1,138,123 hectares.
